intervention in Tartu Botanical Garden

The hybrid creatures shown in this is series of drawings refer to objects that are commonly intended for domesticated and captive animals. Presented in serving dishes and trays, they ironically insist on the form of detention experienced by the animals for which the human-made “toys” are created. Through the chimeras display, animals are irreversibly bound to those objects meant to divert their boredom and to replace the ones that we imagine that they would encounter in their “habitat”.
